Arabica & Robusta
Exclusive Planted Coffee

Arabica and Robusta are the two main coffee beans you’ll come across, and they’re quite different from each other. Arabica beans are prized for their smooth, complex flavor—often with subtle fruity or floral notes, a lighter body, and higher acidity. They’re grown in cooler, high-altitude regions and need more specific conditions, which makes them pricier and often the choice for premium coffee. Arabica beans have a lower caffeine content, around half of Robusta, and you can recognize them by their oval shape and slightly curved center line.

Robusta beans, in contrast, pack a much bolder, more intense flavor with a strong, sometimes earthy or nutty taste. They’re lower in acidity but contain nearly twice the caffeine of Arabica, giving them a more bitter edge. Grown at lower altitudes, Robusta beans are also hardier, naturally pest-resistant, and easier to cultivate, making them more affordable. They’re rounder and have a straight center line. Because of their intense flavor, Robusta is common in espresso blends and instant coffee, where a strong taste is often preferred.
